A 3D graphics API used on Apple Macintosh systems through MacOS 9.x. In 1999 Apple decided to not support QuickDraw3D in the Carbon toolkit (which provides the classic MacOS API to OSX applications). The QuickDraw3D API lives on in Quesa, an LGPL'd clean-room implementation that is both source- and binary-compatible with Apple's library and runs on MacOS 8-X, Windows, Linux, and BeOS.
