07:45pq: macromorgan, I don't know much, but I guess either the touch coordinates match framebuffer pixel coordinates (up to scaling?), or they don't. In case they don't, you can have a calibration matrix in udev. E.g. Weston has a tool for measuring that matrix.
07:47pq: macromorgan, https://wayland.freedesktop.org/libinput/doc/latest/device-configuration-via-udev.html
07:49pq: macromorgan, how to make things work ootb without userspace calibration I don't know. Maybe whot knows? You can find him in #wayland where libinput is discussed.
07:57eric_engestrom: frankbinns, MTCoster: your CI-tron farm is about to be broken by an urgent workaround; see https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/merge_requests/44058, you need to update your gateway config to be able to continue running jobs (single-line command included in the MR desc)
07:58frankbinns: eric_engestrom: thanks for the heads up :)
07:58frankbinns: btw, MTCoster no longer works at IMG :(
08:00eric_engestrom: frankbinns: ack; should I put you down as the contact person for CI information/questions, or is there someone else in your team who handles that now?
08:02frankbinns: eric_engestrom: @robert-mazur-img (GL handle) is our CI person, but he's not on irc
08:02frankbinns: I'll ask him to join
08:02eric_engestrom: ack, updating the docs with his GL handle; thanks!
08:02frankbinns: I've also pointed him at your MR
08:18eric_engestrom: 🙏
11:07mupuf: daniels: do you remember why you registered freedesktop.org as a public suffix?
11:09daniels: mupuf: huh?
11:10mupuf: weirdly-enough, it is the reason why the ci-tron farms broke down yesterday: as of march 2026, the pull-through registry is ensuring that the hostname of the registry and the auth broker match, or that their effective TLD+1 match. Since freedesktop.org is a public suffix, it means that the eTLD+1 of registry.freedesktop.org and gitlab.freedesktop.org are... their own domain name
11:10mupuf: daniels: haha! Well, in https://publicsuffix.org/list/public_suffix_list.dat, you can see `// Submitted by Daniel Stone <daniel@fooishbar.org>` for freedesktop.org
11:19mupuf: I guess this is because people could register $name.freedesktop.org back in the days?
11:26daniels: um, I have absolutely no recollection of that, but I'm like 99% sure that would've been the reason - because *.fd.o was just a zoo full of random shit, and it didn't seem sensible to leak Bugzilla credentials across to some random MediaWiki instance
11:31mupuf: that makes sense
11:32mupuf: but we need to be aware that this may come back to bite us in the ass if docker/podman end up enforcing the same policy
11:33mupuf: oops, wrong channel. Should have been in #freedesktop
