05:45 Company: Does anyone know if there's a Vulkan layer that makes random vulkan calls return an error?
05:46 Company: I want to test robustness of my Vulkan error handling and wonder if there's a tool for that
12:18 karolherbst: Company: not that I'm aware of, but I think for that the XML would have to declare valid error codes per API entry point and not sure if that's already declared..
12:18 Company: it should be
12:18 Company: the docs list valid VkResults for every function
12:19 Company: though I've had various drivers or in particular layers violate those in the past
12:20 Company: a bigger problem is that some error codes have side effects
12:20 Company: ie vkAcquireNextImage() returning VK_SUBOPTIMAL_KHR
12:21 Company: that's why I was looking for something existing instead of trying to come up with something myself
23:23 orowith2os: is there anything/anyone behind (reviewing) https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/merge_requests/37614 ?
23:24 orowith2os: I just noticed from the perfetto docs in https://docs.mesa3d.org/perfetto.html that radeonsi isn't documented as supporting perfetto, and there hasn't been much activity on the radv perfetto support PR
23:26 orowith2os: cc konstantin/konstantin_ (not sure if they're both the same person) and anholt?
23:27 orowith2os: I'm mostly just curious on what is done or needs to be done to get it landed and if the documentation does indeed need an update.
23:29 orowith2os: I don't see Julia listed as an IRC user anywhere so I'm not @'ing her.
