17:11 pounce: and when i start up a virtual machine in qemu, it passes through the scancodes to the emulated machine. e.g. i click the 's' button on my keyboard, which should be an 'o', but the virtual machine receives it as an 's'
17:11 pounce: how is qemu reading the keyboard scancodes, shouldn't the keyboard layout be transparent to a client, and they should only receive the keys sent from the compositor?
